Pro Tip - Organizing your YouTube videos in OneNote

If you’re frequently capturing YouTube videos to OneNote, here’s a tip to help create a streamlined library for reference and easy use.

On your OneNote page, copy and paste the URL to the YouTube video. OneNote Desktop will then embed that link as well as the video into the page.

The trick is to delete the blank line between the title of the video (the link) and the embedded video, and then indent the video under the title.

By doing this, you can now double click on the handle next to the title and collapse or expand the embedded video as you need to. You can see this in the example below.

By using the collapsing and expanding outline feature, you can create organized outlines of video content that are easy to access from anywhere. Take note, when viewing the page on a mobile device the outlines are expanded by default.
