Google employees who work from home worth less

Apparently Google (and other large employers) feel that people who work from home or remote locations are worth less than when they work in the designated Google offices. Note this doesn't indicate any change in what their responsibilities are, their client engagements, or working hours, but only the fact that they are not on site at Google facilities.

It's this 80's type of thinking that is driving people to say, "nope, not interested anymore" when it comes to employment opportunities. Hopefully companies like this will wake up and realize the narrowness of their thinking and change direction.
