Handing reminders in a Bullet Journal

One of the most common reasons I hear people making the jump from an analog bullet journal to a digital tool is the need for reminders.  We need the tool to interrupt whatever we're doing and remind us what we're supposed to be doing. I have to question...is this really necessary?

As an experiment I went a day with no digital reminders. I turned off notifications on my devices, put my smartwatch into quiet mode, and turn off my calendar reminders. It didn't take long before the stress of not having those prompts started to creep into my mind, but here's what I did to deal with the problem.
